3B. Bill Livingstone. Int./Sr. Piobaireachd. A session for players in the senior amateur grades and above. Players will cover two tunes in detail. Bring your practice chanter and tape recorder. Continued in 4B.
3C. Jim McGillivray. The Smallpipes/Bellowspipes Revival. You don't need to have pipes for this session, but bring them if you do. Players will see, hear, and learn about three types of bellowspipes - Scottish Smallpipes, Border Pipes, and Northumbrian Smallpipes, learn bellows techniques, and leave with some very different tunes.
3D. Ed Neigh. Piobaireachd Demystified. What's it all about? A session for both those who do and those who don't play piobaireachd. With an increased inderstanding of this music, players will appreciate and enjoy much more the tunes they hear.
3E. Pat Potter. Exercising for Bagpipes. Players will learn how to exercise to maximize the anatomical structures used in bagpipe playing.
3F. Jake Watson. Introduction to Reels. Players will be introduced
to the time signature by learning some simple tunes. Practice chanter
required.
3G. Bob Worrall. The Competitive M/S/R. A session for
intermediate and advanced players on how to phrase marches, strathspeys, and
reels. Players must register in advance and will be sent music. Practice
chanter required.
