Tenor and Bass Drumming
Tenor Drumming. Tyler Fry. In recent years the tenor drum has become
an important part of pipe bands and this workshop is a chance to improve
significantly your band's mid-section. Material will be presented for
intermediate and advanced players. Bring your drum and sticks.
Elementary Tenor Drumming. Emily McLeod. The material presented
here will be for those fairly new to tenor drumming, and will include tuning,
scores, and flourishing. Bring your drum and sticks.
Bass Drumming. Duncan Gibson. During the day players will cover
notation , metrical accents, simple and compound times, rhythm and expression,
ensemble, visual sound, and flourishing. Bring your sticks and drum, and
a tape of your
band if you wish to discuss tunes and scores.
