All consignments will be considered.

Trade-ins will also considered. For master quality instruments we often give two-thirds to 80% (at our sole discretion) of the original price back on trade-in instruments purchased here (provided they are in the same condition as when we sold them, other than normal usage, and provided you are purchasing an instrument of higher value. The same applies to trading-in a master quality bow for another bow. If you have an instrument or bow that was not originally sold to you by us, we will also be happy to determine what trade-in value we would allow for it.

Charles Nicolas Bazin made this bow (and others) for Joseph Hel of Lille, France (a respected violin maker and dealer from 1865 to 1902).  It is a fine classic French violin bow made and branded "J.Hel" on each side of the shaft. The ebony frog is nickel-silver mounted and weighs 58.5 grams. The slide and back plate are of pearl.  The strong, round, pernambuco shaft also has the flexibility to draw a fine tone. $6800
